Lots of interesting golf action took place today, with the Wyndham Championship and JELD-WEN Tradition hitting round two, while the ladies at the Solheim Cup completed their first day of action.
Here’s a quick recap of what took place today at each of the three events:
Wyndham Championship
The second round couldn’t finish today, as there were players still in their rounds before play was called for the day due to darkness. Chris Riley and Ryan Moore are the current leaders, both at 11-under par for the tournament. Riley shot an excellent round of 63 on the day, while Moore is currently 5-under through 17.
Sergio Garcia had a good day as well, shooting a 64, to put him two shots off the lead.
Co-first round leader Brandt Snedeker shot a 69, which sits him four behind Riley and Moore at the moment.
Other notables:
Boo Weekley, Fred Couples -8
Jeev Milka Singh, Justin Rose -7
Lucas Glover, Rich Beem -6
John Daly -5

JELD-WEN Tradition
First round leader Brad Bryant added ten points to his score today, shooting a 72 in the second round to go along with a 62 in yesterday’s first round, and currently sits at 10-under par for the championship. This has allowed the rest of the field to catch up considerably, as Fred Funk is only one shot back after a round of 67 today.
Loren Roberts shot 1-under today, and is two shots off the lead, as is John Cook and Larry Mize.
British Open hero Tom Watson struggles today, shooting 2-over par, and is all the way back at 3-under for the week.

Solheim Cup
It was a day filled with competitive action up in Chicago, with the U.S. holding a 4 1/2 to 3 1/2 lead as we head into tomorrow.
It would be kinda hard to recap the entire day’s action, with two seperate styles throughout the day, so here’s an AP article to summarize the day’s action.

Good golf the first few days, and I’m sure we’ll see the same this weekend. Be sure to check out all the great pro golf tournaments over the next few days.
Have a great night everyone!

Great to see Freddie Couples playing well. Met him in Las Vegas once. He was playing blackjack with his son. Went over to him and said hi. Shook his hand…nice guy. No one knew who he was until I said something. All of a sudden a crowd gathers around him.
Yeah, Couples seems like a nice guy. Just seems to be fun and outgoing.
