Pro Golf Saturday Evening Update

Posted by: Blake Lovell

Wanted to go ahead and give a quick recap of today’s action thus far at the Wyndham Championship, the JELD-WEN Tradition, and the Solheim Cup. I’m heading out in a little bit, so I probably won’t be able to catch the last hour or so of the action.

But here’s what has taken place thus far today (all of this as of 7:11 PM ET):

Wyndham Championship

The weather has once again been a factor today, with a three-hour delay taking place in Greensboro this afternoon.Third round probably won’t finish today, so I guess there is still a possibility of this championship extending into Monday. We’ll see.

The current leader is Chris Riley who is at 14-under par for the tournament, and 3-under through 6 in the third round. Fred Couples and Sergio Garcia have both made runs towards the top, as both are two shots off the lead at 12-under. Couples is 4-under through 8, while Garcia is 3-under through 7.

JELD-WEN Tradition

Play is over with for the day at the JELD-WEN, with Brad Bryant still hanging on to the lead. Bryant shot a 5-under 67 for the round, and has a two shot lead over Mike Reid, who came flying up the leaderboard today with a 66.

John Cook is three back at 12-under par, while Larry Mize is 10-under.

Senior British Open champion Loren Roberts has slid back a little bit, only going 1-under for the day, and at 9-under for the tournament.

Mark O’Meara and Senior U.S. Open champ Fred Funk are both at 8-under through the third round. And Tom Watson shot a 69, to sit nine shots off the current lead.

Full leaderboard over at Golf.com.

Solheim Cup

Europe has caught up with the U.S. today in Chicago, and has taken over the current lead. Action is still going on right now, with some key matches taking place for both teams.

Continue to follow the current matches on the leaderboard at LPGA.com.

I’m going to catch some of the action later on the TiVo, and hopefully it will be the U.S. taking a lead at the Solheim Cup, or at least catching up.

Have a great night everyone!
