Didn’t get a chance to see much of the action today at Cog Hill, but here’s an AP story recapping the day’s golf in Chicago.
And you can view the full leaderboard here.
Rory Sabbatini is clearly a little angry after being left off the Presidents Cup team, and shot a 5-under 66 in the first round today. But we’ll see if that can be used as momentum throughout the entire week.
And Steve Marino shot the same in trying to get back to playing consistent golf for four days, as he has been in the hunt a lot here lately. We’ll see if he can spread this out over the entire tournament, and find a way to pick up a big victory.
Tiger Woods and Padraig Harrington are also closeby after they both shot a 68, and sit at 3-under par. You definitely don’t like to see those guys up there if you’re the leaders right now.
Defending champion Camilo Villegas is also two shots back heading into the second round tomorrow.
With those two being that close to the lead, it should make for an interesting day of golf tomorrow!
Have a great night everyone!
