A Quick Look Back at the BMW Championship

It’s Monday morning, which means it’s time to take a look back at this weekend’s action at the BMW Championship. Plenty of interesting things to talk about, so let’s get right to it:

- Seriously, is that not the Tiger Woods we want to see every single week? I’m all for having a close golf tournament that comes down to the very end, but I’m also all for seeing the greatest player in the world completely dominate the competition and put on a show in the process. That’s what Tiger did on Saturday, and it made us think back to the days when he use to do that on a regular basis. It was great to say, and clearly he was on a mission to win that tournament.

- Great to see Jim Furyk play so well. Of course, had it been another tournament in another week, he may have actually ended up the winner. So although he finished eight shots back of Tiger, Furyk still had one of his best weeks of the year. He’s put himself in great position for this week in Atlanta.

- Padraig Harrington had another solid week, but again, he struggled in the final round. He could have never caught Tiger or anything, but there’s always something about that final round for Paddy. He ended up 6-under par, but a Sunday 73 has to be disappointing in his mind.

- It was a good first three days for Phil Mickelson, before finishing with a final round 76. Despite that number though, he has to at least feel good with the way he played the first few days. It’s been a while since he’s played really well, and he at least looked comfortable out there for the most part.

- Some big names left out of the final FedEx Cup tournament this upcoming weekend. Ian Poulter, Sergio Garcia, Brandt Snedeker, Anthony Kim, and Camilo Villegas are all out. Snedeker has to be feeling the worst though, after the finish he had yesterday, with a 76 in the final round.

- Here’s the 30 guys who will be heading to the Tour Championship at East Lake. John Senden has that coveted number 30 spot.
