Trying to Fix This FedEx Cup Mess

by FedEx Cup Playoffs

When you talk about the FedEx Cup Playoffs, you’re bound to bring up the topic of the scoring system. More importantly, just how the heck do we understand this point system?

Gary Van Sickle wrote an interesting piece over at Golf.com discussing the current FedEx Cup point system, and offered a solution as to how and make the scoring a little more fair.

I think he brings up some great points overall, as we all know that this current system is completely out of whack, and is so incoherent at times that it leaves us scratching our heads after someone wins a tournament.

As of right now, I’m not sure that there is a perfect solution to this problem, but there’s plenty of debate when it comes to the nuts and bolts of the system, and how we can move forward and make this playoff system more effective in the long run.

I’d love to hear your comments or solutions on this current system, and what you think may help this system succeed. Because we all know it’s needs some kind of tweaking!
