United States Wins the Presidents Cup

It was another great weekend of golf, and it ended with the United States winning the Presidents Cup in a rout. The Americans completely dominated the singles matches today, and eventually won 19 1/2 to 14 1/2.

Here’s the AP story on the day’s action in San Francisco.

So while there was pretty exciting golf played for three days, that wasn’t the case today. Tiger Woods officially wrapped things up for the United States when he defeated Y.E. Yang 6 and 5. I’d say Tiger got a little payback there for Yang’s amazing victory at the PGA Championship. Though I’d say Tiger would take the major over the Presidents Cup.

I thought the Americans would win this thing, but I didn’t expect them to completely put it away early in the singles matches today. I thought the International team would at least score a few crucial points today, but they could never get anything going.

Glad to see the U.S. victory though, and we got to see the best players in the world at their best.

What did you think of the Presidents Cup this weekend?
