The PGA Grand Slam has come to a close, and U.S. Open champion Lucas Glover came out on top in the battle of the major winners.
Here’s the AP story on the day’s action.
Glover finished five shots ahead of Masters winner Angel Cabrera, as Glover closed with a 5-under 66 for the day’s round. After setting a course record yesterday, all he really needed to do was play solid golf, and he did that to pick up the victory.
Interesting to see that Glover was trying out some new irons this week, and well, he certainly must have picked some good ones. As I’ve said before, I think he’s got a huge future ahead of him, and 2010 will be a breakout year for him.
He’s going to make a lot of noise on tour for many years to come.
