You’ll probably hear this a lot over the next few days, but it rings true to so many people. It’s hard to believe that it’s been ten years since the tragic death of Payne Stewart, and it was a day that will likely never be forgotten by players and fans alike.

As for me, I was still a teenager when Stewart’s death occurred. I didn’t become a golf fanatic until several years ago, so I don’t remember much about Stewart’s playing career. But, I’ve done research on his career, and from the things I’ve heard from people, it’s evident that Stewart was just as good off the course as he was on the course.

Anyone I’ve ever heard speak about Stewart has had nothing but kind things to say about him. Through all the highlights and interviews I’ve seen over the years, he seemed like the kind of guy I’d like to root for. He was passionate about the game, and he was passionate about being the best he could be.

Many websites and magazines are having special pieces dedicated to the memory of Stewart, and here’s a few things I’ve found that will allow you to look back on the great man and the great golfer that was Payne Stewart.
