Tiger Loses His Golf Digest Column For Now

So the changes keep on coming for Tiger Woods, as he’s lost sponsors, may lose his wife, and has now lost his Golf Digest column…..at least for now.

In the grand scheme of things, is this that big of a deal? No, I don’t think it is. Tiger has certainly lost a whole lot more than this up to this point in time, and I’d say that this is the least of his concerns right now. Sure, the magazine did have an exclusive deal with him, and Tiger’s monthly tips were a huge hit with the readers.

This column was something that made Tiger seem a little more human, and made him seem a little more welcoming when it came to giving advice to readers and golfers alike. Of course, he’s now become more human than ever after all of this mess has come out about his personal life.

But again, this isn’t a huge deal, but it is certainly newsworthy. As more sponsors begin to rethink their stance with Woods as a focal point of their marketing campaigns, we’ll keep on hearing about things like this. And I doubt that this is completely over, as I’m sure more sponsors will come out with statements regarding their plans to move forward with or without Woods.
