While most of the talk this past week has been about the return of Tiger Woods, I hope golf fans didn’t forget about the star-studded field playing at this weekend’s Transitions Championship at Innisbrook. There’s a familiar name currently on top as the third round is underway.
Padraig Harrington is the current leader, as he stands at 9-under par for the championship, and has just started his third round. He’s followed closely by Jim Furyk and Carl Pettersson, who are both one shot back.
Meanwhile, the most consistent player in golf, Steve Stricker, is two shots back at 7-under for the tournament, along with Bubba Watson. Then there is a large group of guys at 6-under for the week.
We’ll see if Paddy can hang on and pick up the victory, as he would surely like to get back to his winning ways after gaining a lot of confidence and momentum towards the end of last year. But of course, it wouldn’t surprise me to see Stricker make a run to the top sometime today either.
Should be an exciting final round, and if you want to check out all of the action, head over to NBC for the coverage.
