Chris Wood is three strokes clear and if he has another day like his Friday, he will win the Qatar Masters.
Coming up with seven birdies, one eagle and a bogey, the number 142 in the world had the best day of any golfer besides second place Simon Kahn (who also shot a 64). Both golfers are English.
Wood’s eagle came on the 10th hole. It was a great way to start the back nine, although his bogey came quickly afterwards. Though his back nine was good, it was his front nine that separated him from the pack.
Wood picked up birdies on two, four, five, seven and eight. It is a great formula to win.
Wood will tee off at 4:15 am EST.
