Jason Dufner has been quiet, but that does not mean that he has not played great golf.
Dufner has been one of the few Americans that have played on the European Tour in the past couple weeks (Abu Dhabi and Qatar), and has finished in the top ten in both of those. He finished tied for ninth this past weekend, and for that came away with over 33,000 Euros.
Dufner has not played his best golf however, and if he wants to compete throughout the season for championships, he is going to have to be better. Of course, he has plenty of time for that.
One of the strengths of Dufner is his consistency. Though he did not shoot an amazing round in Qatar, he did have solid rounds throughout the tournament. He shot a 71,70,67,69 to get to eleven under.
Though the 67 was a good round, it can not compare to Chris Wood’s (the tournament winner) third round, where he shot a 64. Dufner has not been great, but he has always been in the thick of things.
Moving forward, it will be interesting to see how he is able to take the strong finishes, and advances them to top five status.
MR. JASON DUFNER
