Tiger Woods today revealed his new girlfriend as 28-year-old ski skater, Lindsey Vonn via a statement on his Facebook page.
Everyone knows about Woods’ marital breakdown after infidelity stories broke about the former world No. 1 in 2009 before his divorce with Elin Nordegren a year later.
The 37-year-old has struggled with his game since, but seems to have found a new lease of life winning twice already this season on the PGA Tour and he will start favorite this week at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, a tournament he has won 7 times.
Woods today said that over the past few months the long time friends have become very close and started dating, so is Vonn the source of his success and resurgence in 2013? I think she is.
“This season has been great so far and I’m happy with my wins at Torrey and Doral. Something nice that’s happened off the course was meeting Lindsey Vonn. Lindsey and I have been friends for some time, but over the last few months we have become very close and are now dating,” Woods said.
“We thank you for your support and for respecting our privacy. We want to continue our relationship, privately, as an ordinary couple and continue to compete as athletes.”
