Young Czech golfer, Jakub Svoboda withdrew from the Troph’ee Hassan at the Golf du Palais in Morocco on Thursday after shooting 46 on the first six holes. When he decided to take it to the house, he cited problems with his wrist. I don’t know about you, but if I put four seven’s, and two nine’s on my card, I would probably be looking for a reason to go home too. Or maybe the 19th hole for a couple of pints.
The youngster is currently ranked at 1522 on the OWGR, and has no wins on the European Tour. In fact, in four starts dating back to 2011, has never made a cut, and his best two day finish was a 155(+11) that year at the Czech Open. He shot a 91, 83 (+33) at the Credit Suisse Challenge last July.
You kind of have to wonder, With those kinds of scores, maybe golf isn’t his thing. Maybe he should take up Tennis, or maybe Futbol.
Marcel Siem is currently leading the tournament in Agadir, Morocco with a total of -12 under par, and is three shots clear of David Horsey from Scotland, and Mikko Ilonen from Finland. Siem is trying desperately to qualify for the Masters in two weeks, and the only way, is by winning in Morocco this weekend.
