2013 Golf: Michelle Wie Brings New Putting Stroke To Nabisco

It’s strange to say the least. A six-foot woman with her upper torso almost completely parallel to the ground while making a stroke is almost funny. It has drawn mixed reviews for the talking heads, but hey…if it works, great!  With the talent Michelle Wie possesses, after winning only $ 6,000 on the tour so far this year, I guess you have to try something.

I have included a video so in case you haven’t been able to catch her at the Kraft Nabisco Championship, you can make up your own mind. She actually got off to a decent start on Thursday, at one time on the leaderboard at -2 under par before the bogeys took over at the end of her round. She finished at even par, and if she can have a nice Friday in the afternoon wind that is anticipated, she might make a cut.

Michelle Wie has not made a cut this year since the tour came back to the US. Her only paycheck came at the HSBC Women’s Championship back in February. If this helps her game, then to heck with the experts, keep on doing it. It can’t get much worse. She needs to find something that helps her confidence somewhere. Who knows, maybe this will catch on like Dufnering if she can win in Rancho Mirage this week.
