Holly Sonders On The Way To An NFL Sideline ?

SI/Golf.com reported on Friday that Golf Channel’s Morning Drive co-host, Holly Sonders is on her way to Fox Sports, and some of her duties could be a sideline reporter at some NFL games. Some sources around the business say after failing to reach an agreement on a contract extension at The Golf Channel, her move to Fox was a done deal, other say, not so fast!

Kevin Cunningham from Golf.com filed this report on Friday morning that the one of “The Most Beautiful Women In Golf” was on her way to Fox Sports where she would join the broadcast team for USGA events next year with Joe Buck, and Greg Norman. Fox Sports has not confirmed the hiring.

“Sonders is expected to take a job with Fox Sports covering golf and serving as a sideline reporter on NFL games, according to several sources. A Fox spokesman said his network has not yet hired Sonders. Other sources said it is a done deal.

With The Golf Channel saying:

“We wish her the best in her future endeavors,’ he said, declining further comment.”

It sounds a lot to me like it’s pretty much a done deal!

Although Holly Sonders will be missed around Studio AP in the morning segments, I’m sure the Golf Channel will continue to provide the coverage we have grown to expect.
