Tiger Woods Withdraws From 2014 Bridgestone Invitational With Back Problems

You could tell something was wrong as Tiger Woods played alongside of Bubba Watson in the final round of the

on Sunday afternoon. He hit an awkward shot on the par five second hole and said he pulled something in his back when hitting out of the rough and fell into the fairway bunker.

He continued to struggle, and just didn’t look right. It was unsure if he was in pain, or just continuing to fight his swing as he has done since returning from back surgery back in April.

After making double bogey at the eighth hole, he pulled the plug on his round at Firestone Country Club, a place where he has won eight times, and was the defending champion.

He was four over par for the week, and three over on the day. He was playing from all over the course, but was able to scramble in Tiger Woods fashion, and saved some pars.

As Tiger left the property, it is unclear if he will return for the remainder of the season, or will follow some of his critics, and take the proper time to let his surgery heal.
