Who will succeed Adam Scott as the PGA Tour’s reigning champion at PGA National?

PGA Tour is finally departing from the Pacific time zone this week after a great run of tournaments that saw the crowning of winners new and familiar. With the Masters just six weeks away, it’s time for the circuit’s annual Florida swing, starting with the Honda Classic at PGA National.

One of the tougher courses in the PGA Tour rotation, PGA National isn’t likely to yield many low numbers — the winning score has reached double digits under par just once in the past six years, when Rory McIlroy fended off a charging Tiger Woods on the back nine in 2012. The town of Palm Beach Gardens should be in for some weather towards the end of this week, so don’t expect things to be much different this time around.

In last year’s event, Adam Scott fought off a strong chasing pack that included Sergio Garcia and Justin Thomas to take home his 12th PGA Tour victory. Who will follow in his footsteps this year? Without further ado, let’s take a look at ten of the best bets for success at the Honda Classic. Each player’s current ranking in the race to the FedEx Cup is listed next to his name.
