The 2nd edition of the Volvik Championship offers a deeply talented field of choices for fantasy golf managers.

The Volvik Championship takes the LPGA Tour to Ann Arbor, Michigan this week and, with the exception of Thursday, some very pleasant golf weather. Low temperatures and relatively low humidity mean flying golf balls and the field is packed with players who know how to take full advantage of the opportunity good weather brings to competition.

The par 72 Travis Pointe Country Club track will play 6734 yards this week, long enough to bring out the best in the power players but not so long as to eliminate the shorter hitters. There’s plenty of water, just to keep play interesting for the fans, and the bent grass fairways and greens promise proper behavior from the golf balls.

This is the 2nd edition of the Volvik Championship, so nobody has much history at Travis Pointe although defending champion Ariya Jutanugarn is certainly coming to the tee with some very fine memories. Nobody could catch her as she romped to a 15-under par victory last year to notch her 3rd win of the season, on her way to collecting 2016 Rolex Player of the Year honors.

Can Jutanugarn do it again this year? Well, anything’s possible, but she’s facing a determined and talented field of players determined to block back-to-back victories for the young Thai who’s challenging Lydia Ko for the top of the Rolex Rankings.

If you’re playing Ladies Dream Golf Pick-4, it’s time to start thinking about your fantasy golf team. Let’s take a look at the options.
