With Callaway’s new U.S. Open staff bag slung over his shoulder, Kevin Kisner’s caddy is going to be the sharpest looper in the field.

The 117th U.S. Open begins tomorrow and we can almost feel the anticipation in the Twitterverse. The USGA’s most talked-about event is one of the best in the sport, and while the upcoming four days of outstanding golf and breathtaking landscapes will be the focal point, there have been plenty of other exciting developments from this week.

Major weeks are always a good opportunity for equipment manufacturers to generate some buzz, and this one has been no different. This is a rare opportunity for golf to enjoy the national spotlight, and with the eyes of the world upon Erin Hills, several prominent brands have taken the opportunity to unveil new products and designs.

Callaway Golf, a longtime heavy hitter in the equipment industry, is among them. On Tuesday, the company unveiled its new U.S. Open staff bag, which PGA TOUR star Kevin Kisner will use as he makes his way around Erin Hills.

I’m not usually one to drop a bunch of money on equipment — admittedly, my dad’s old bag has worked just fine for me these past few years — but even I might have to keep an eye out for deals on this number once it becomes more available. The classic Callaway look is there, the craftsmanship looks remarkable, and the design has the shock of Irish flair you’d expect on a course named Erin Hills.

If that caught your eye, then you’ll love this GIF posted by Callaway — it features even more angles.

With that bag slung over his shoulder, Kisner’s caddy will be one of the sharpest looking loopers in the field this week. Coming off his recent win at Colonial, Kisner, a South Carolina native, is swinging it well right now. Look for him to deliver a strong performance at Erin Hills, and look for this bag whenever he’s on your TV screen.

As for acquiring the bag itself, it’s not yet available on the open market. However, designs from previous years are listed on sites like Ebay, so it’s sure to surface eventually. Until then, keep an eye on Callaway’s Twitter feed for more contests and opportunities.
