Everyone knew he had it in him. Most had been predicting that Camilo Villegas would have a breakout year for several years now. But now, it looks like he could be on the verge of his biggest season ever.

It’s Monday morning, which means it’s time to take a look back at this weekend’s action at the BMW Championship. Plenty of interesting things to talk about, so let’s get right to it:

Sabbatini and Marino Lead the BMW Championship

AUTHOR: Blake Lovell | IN: BMW Championship, Camilo Villegas, FedEx Cup Playoffs, Padraig Harrington, Tiger Woods | COMMENTS: None Yet

Didn’t get a chance to see much of the action today at Cog Hill, but here’s an AP story recapping the day’s golf in Chicago.
And you can view the full leaderboard here.
Rory Sabbatini is clearly a little angry after being left off the Presidents Cup team, and shot a 5-under 66 in the first round today. But we’ll see if that can be used as momentum throughout the entire week.

(Before we get started, let me first refer you back to my RBC Canadian Open predictions. Oh, Retief. You nearly made me look somewhat intelligent. But hey, at least I was close, right?)
Playoff at the Evian Masters? Check.
Playoff at the Senior British Open? Oh yeah.
Playoff at the RBC Canadian Open? That’s right.

Today's Big Three Recap

AUTHOR: Blake Lovell | IN: Camilo Villegas, Greg Norman, LPGA Tour, RBC Canadian Open, Senior British Open, Tom Watson | COMMENTS: None Yet

A little late on the recap tonight, I know. But let’s jump right into where we stand heading into the weekend for the three big tournaments going on in professional golf.
The RBC Canadian Open was struck once again by bad weather today, with round one leader Kevin Na not even being able to get his second round going. Therefore, a new leader has emerged. That being Jerry Kelly who is currently atop the leaderboard at 11-under par, though he still had three holes remaining in his second round.

Updating Today's Leaders

AUTHOR: Blake Lovell | IN: Camilo Villegas, Greg Norman, LPGA Tour, RBC Canadian Open, Senior British Open, Tom Watson | COMMENTS: None Yet

Thought I’d drop in and write up a small post on those who are currently leading the big tournaments in the world of professional golf today, as of 12:30 PM CT time.
At the RBC Canadian Open, Kevin Na and Jerry Kelly are the current leaders at 9-under par. Camilo Villegas was also at the top as I began writing this, but bogeyed the second hole in his second round play to drop back to 8-under for the tournament. He is tied with Martin Laird for second at the moment.
Retief Goosen will tee of this afternoon, looking to keep his hot [...]

RBC Canadian Open – Day 1 Recap

AUTHOR: Blake Lovell | IN: Camilo Villegas, RBC Canadian Open | COMMENTS: None Yet

Well it seems as though the RBC Canadian Open has seen all the golf it’s going to see for the first day of the tournament. But that doesn’t mean round one has been completed.
As I said earlier in the update, rain forced a very, very long delay at Glen Abbey, which has pushed back the first round quite a bit.
There are some that still haven’t got on the tee yet, so they’ll be forced to get going early in the morning.
Kevin Na is your leader after round day one at 9-under par, shooting a 63 for the round.
Retief Goosen (my [...]

Predictions: The RBC Canadian Open

AUTHOR: Blake Lovell | IN: Anthony Kim, Camilo Villegas, RBC Canadian Open | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

As we move along from one of the best golf tournaments of the year, it’s now time to head north for the RBC Canadian Open at Glen Abbey this weekend.
Though there isn’t exactly a star-studded lineup in terms of money winners and placement in the official word golf rankings, it should still be an exciting tournament to watch.
Let’s get to the predictions!
UNDER THE RADAR:

Of course you could probably go with a number of guys here in this spot, but I’m gonna give you one guy before each tournament that we cover that is flying under the radar. This week, [...]
