Lee Westwood Wins St. Jude Classic
With the U.S. Open coming up next week at Pebble Beach, we should have expected that something would turn our heads a little this week, and give us some anticipation heading into the year’s second major. Well, that happened, as Lee Westwood picked up the victory this afternoon at the St. Jude Classic…..because, well, it looked like no one else wanted to win the event.

I just wanted to take the time to congratulate Lee Westwood on his big victory in Dubai, as he won the Dubai World Championship by a solid six strokes, and won the Race to Dubai in the process.
PGA Round 2 Recap – Tiger's Lead Increases
Did you really think anyone would come blazing towards the top of the leaderboard, and overtake Tiger Woods as the leader of the PGA Championship after the second round? If you did, well, it didn’t happen. Woods had a pretty decent day by his standards. He finished with a 2-under 70, bogeying his first hole of the day, and his last.

It’s that time of week again golf fans, with the Bridgestone Invitational starting tomorrow. No LPGA or Champions tour events this week, so we’ll be focusing on Phil Mickelson‘s return, as well as Tiger’s chances to win in back-to-back weeks. Also, British Open champion Stewart Cink will be playing for the first time since his victory at Turnberry last month.
