So after Tiger Woods proceeded to have another magical Sunday, including a beautiful shot on the 16th hole to all but win the tournament, the main talk for the morning has been about the slow play claim that was brought up by a rules official at number 16.
From what I could gather in the story, it seems as though Padraig Harrington was told by a rules official (European Tour chief referee, to be exact) as he approached the 16th green, that the two were being put on the clock, as they were already way behind schedule in terms of the [...]

We knew the day would be filled with drama at the WGC Bridgestone Invitational, and we were not let down at all, as Tiger Woods once again showed why he is the greatest player on the face of the earth.
Woods, trailing by three shots heading into the final round, managed to make up plenty of ground, and eventually won the tournament by an unbelievable four shots. Woods shot a 65 for today’s round, putting him at 12-under par for the week.
It was all Tiger to start the day, but the tide eventually turned in favor of Padraig Harrington, who had [...]
The third round of the WGC Bridgestone Invitational has concluded, and boy, are we set up for an excellent Sunday finish at Firestone.
Padraig Harrington continues to lead the tournament after shooting a 3-under 67 for today’s round. But unlike other golfers, Harrington didn’t seem to start shivering when a certain someone started charging up the leaderboard.
Well ladies and gentlemen, the weekend is upon us, and we’ve got a tight one at the WGC Bridgestone Invitational.
Many guys are within a few shots of the lead, and with the greatest players in the world that close to each other, anything can happen come Sunday.
With all that being said, let’s recap Friday’s action at Firestone:
With a light week of golf, that means we can spend more time talking about the WGC Bridgestone Invitational! So I’m going to try and extend the posts a little bit each day so that we can discuss the action a little more.
Let’s get right to the round one recap:
Of all the names we included in the “favorites” section heading into the tournament, there was one important name missing. And that name was Padraig Harrington, the 2008 British and PGA champion.
TV Schedule For This Week
Without the ladies on the LPGA tour, or the men on the Champions tour playing this week, the TV schedule is a little slim this week with the WGC Bridgestone Invitational being the only big show in town.
However, you can also check out the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open this week, which doesn’t exactly have a field like the Bridgestone, but it should be enjoyable for golf fans as players have a shot to get a win at a Tiger-less tournament.
Here’s the rundown:
It’s that time of week again golf fans, with the Bridgestone Invitational starting tomorrow.
No LPGA or Champions tour events this week, so we’ll be focusing on Phil Mickelson’s return, as well as Tiger’s chances to win in back-to-back weeks.
Also, British Open champion Stewart Cink will be playing for the first time since his victory at Turnberry last month.
This week’s field includes all the household names you’ve come to recognize, so it should be a very exciting event to watch.
Let’s get started with the predictions!
Phil Mickelson Returning
It was reported today that Phil Mickelson will be making his return at the Bridgestone Invitational here in a few weeks.
Mickelson has been out of action for a while due to the fact that his wife and his mother are both battling breast cancer.
It’s good to see Phil getting back out on the course, but he could take as much time off as he wanted, and we golf fans probably wouldn’t mind due to circumstances he and his family are facing.
Hopefully the return to the course will give him a little time to ease his mind. Best of luck to [...]
