Ryan Palmer blistered the Colonial Country Club on Thursday, and got in the clubhouse at 62, which is an -8 under par on this par 70 layout that hosts the Crowne Plaza Invitational. It’s probably not fair because Palmer graduated from Texas A&M University, and is a member at Colonial. Palmer is one of the longest hitters on the Tour, averaging 317 yards off the tee, and today, he hit the fairways at an 85% clip. His long drive of the day was 353 yards. (more…)

The world’s number two golfer, Rory McIlroy had a terrible back nine at the BMW PGA Championship on Thursday morning, and got in the clubhouse before the bad weather suspended play. McIlroy ended the day at +2 over par, and as play was stopped with people on the course, tied for 86th place. The youngster from Northern Island even went on Twitter and told us about his effort.
