$6,900 to $6,000

If you want to pair up Jason Day and Jordan Spieth together or Rory McIlroy and Henrik Stenson. Or whatever it maybe, you’ll have to dig deep in this range.

A really cheap pick up I would consider is Jason Kokrak ($6,500). Now, Kokrak has been in pretty poor form this year, but his game fits TPC Boston. Kokrak still bombs it a long way and he ranks 35th in birdie average.

If you want someone who is in better form, I would consider Shawn Stefani ($6,700). Stefani has played well making the cut in 19 of 24 tournaments this season.

Stats wise, he has been rock solid all-around. Stefani is 45th in distance, 40th in Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green, 30th in Greens in Regulation, and 17th in birdie average. On paper, Stefani looks like a really nice value pick.

  • An even safer play might be Russell Knox ($6,900). Knox has been rock solid all season long, he has struggled of late, but he is 25th in Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green, 7th in Greens in Regulation, and 37th in scoring average.

Plus, he has some experience at TPC Boston as he finished T-26 at the Deutsche Bank Championship last year.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention Will Wilcox ($6,800). Last week, Wilcox sent out a tweet apologizing to the DraftKings fantasy players for missing the cut.

Obviously, he had nothing to apologize about, but it’s good to see a golfer care about the DFS players.

On paper, Wilcox checks out. We talk about this every week where if you just went by the sheer numbers Wilcox and Hudson Swafford ($6,200) would be two of the best golfers in the game.

Wilcox is a birdie, eagle machine and at TPC Boston he has the potential to go really low this week.
