ORLANDO, FL – MARCH 19: Marc Leishman of Australia celebrates with the winner’s trophy on the 18th green after the final round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational Presented By MasterCard at Bay Hill Club and Lodge on March 19, 2017 in Orlando, Florida. (Photo by Richard Heathcote/Getty Images) /

Leishman’s made himself some money over the years at Bay Hill. That includes his fattest check cashed last year with his one-stroke come-from-behind win over Kevin Kisner and Charley Hoffman.

For his career at the API, Leishman’s made six of eight cuts with all six finishing in the top 50.

In 2018, Leishman has two top-10s and posted a T37 in his last start at the WGC-Mexico Championship.

The Australian was 18th in par-5 scoring last year and was 30th in approaches from 200 or more yards.

Leishman had a breakout 2017 with a win and two top-15s at the majors. Defending here this week would go a long way to show the 34-year-old can keep it up.
