Jason Day should feel comfortable heading into the week.

He’s one of few to play Ridgewood three times and the only to make three cuts. Day made himself some money, finishing T31 as a 20-year-old in 2008, T5 in 2010 and T2 in 2014.

See the trend here?

Day is 23-under-par in those 12 rounds with seven scores in the 60s.

The Aussie comes to the Northern Trust off of four straight top-20s. He’s missed just one cut all year and has done T44 or better when he makes the weekend.

He won twice earlier this season at major championship-caliber venues: The Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines and the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow.

Day’s been a wizard with the short game, ranking tops in strokes gained around the green on Tour. He’s also 27th in strokes gained tee to green and has as much ball striking talent as any in the game.
