The first man to make our Power Rankings list ahead of the 2019 AFRASIA BANK Mauritius Open is Belgian golfer Nicolas Colsaerts.

The World No.195 is arguably lucky to be even featuring on the European Tour this season, as he came ever so close to losing his Tour card at the end of the 2019 campaign.

However, a victory at the Amundi Open de France, his first professional win in over seven years, saw him move back inside the top 200 in the Official World Golf Rankings, and more importantly, he is now exempt on the Tour through to the end of the 2021 season.

Up to that point, the Belgian had been going through a tough time, highlighted by a five month period where he only managed to finish inside the top 50 once, with that run also including eight missed cuts.

The Belgian is now back up near his best golf, the form which saw him play for Europe in the 2012 Ryder Cup at Medinah, and after a few weeks off, he will be ready to do battle once more in Mauritius.

Colsaerts is a fan of this event, having finished in a tie for 3rd in 2016. He will be looking to repeat that feat this week at Heritage, if not go even further to claim a second title in the last three months.
