In his first appearance at a solely European Tour sanctioned event since the summer of 2018, Phil Mickelson comes in at No.10 on our Power Rankings for the Saudi International powered by SoftBank Investment Advisers.

The American has won 44 times on the PGA TOUR, plus another two victories on the European Tour, at the HSBC Champions in 2007, and the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open in 2013.

Five years later at the latter event was the last time he featured at a European Tour event, at the renamed Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open in July 2018. Since then, ‘Lefty’ has won once, taking home the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am title last February.

However, that was the five-time major winner’s only top 15 finish in the last twelve months, with his next best coming at the Masters, where he came home in a tie for 18th.

Although Mickelson has been nowhere near his best in recent months, you can never turn down the possibility of him bringing out his best golf and taking home the title come Sunday afternoon.

This will be the American’s first taste of playing golf in Saudi Arabia, but could he bring home the title and end his poor run of form?
