The first man to make our Power Rankings list ahead of the 2020 Oman Open is Belgian golfer Nicolas Colsaerts.

The World No.200 is arguably lucky to be even featuring on the European Tour this season, as he came ever so close to losing his Tour card at the end of the 2019 campaign.

However, a victory at the Amundi Open de France, his first professional win in over seven years, saw him move back inside the top 200 in the Official World Golf Rankings, and more importantly, he is now exempt on the Tour through to the end of the 2021 season.

Up to that point, the Belgian had been going through a tough time, highlighted by a five-month period where he only managed to finish inside the top 50 once, with that run also including eight missed cuts.

The Belgian is now back up near his best golf, the form which saw him play for Europe in the 2012 Ryder Cup at Medinah, and after a few weeks off, he will be ready to do battle once more in Oman following four top 50 finishes in his last four events.

The World No.200 came home in a tie for 7th at the Thailand Masters, an Asian Tour-sanctioned event, in December, before finishing in T42 at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship presented by EGA, and T50 at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic.

Colsaerts came home in a tie for 40th at Al Mouj last year, and he will be looking to improve on that this time around. Could this be another good week for the Belgian?
