Michelle Wie Wins the 2010 CN Canadian Open

It’s been an exciting season on the LPGA Tour. We’ve had one player already win five times on tour this year, (Ai Miyazato). We’ve had two women track down Miyazato for the number one spot in the Rolex Rankings on several occasions (Jiyai Shin and Cristie Kerr). And there was another exciting happening at the CN Canadian Open this week, as Michelle Wie controlled the tournament the entire way, and picked up her second victory in her LPGA Tour career.

Matt Kuchar Wins The Barclays

Honestly, it just seemed like a matter of time before it happened. “It” meaning a win for Matt Kuchar in 2010 on the PGA Tour. All season long, it has felt like Kuchar has been one of the most consistent players on tour, and he finally cashed in today, as he defeated Martin Laird in a playoff to at The Barclays. And to add to that win, Kuchar now finds himself in the lead in the race for the FedEx Cup.

The Barclays and CN Canadian Women’s Open TV Schedule

There’s a big week of golf on tap for the men of the PGA Tour, as The Barclays marks the start of the FedEx Cup playoffs. Players will look to position themselves heading into the Deutsche Bank Championship next week, and try to build momentum for the next few tournaments. While some people still don’t completely understand the entire FedEx cup format (it’s still flawed), it does usually provide us with some exciting finishes and plenty of drama down the stretch run. With that said, it’s time for predictions!

The FedEx Cup playoffs are officially in full swing this week, as the tour gets ready for The Barclays to get underway on Thursday. Ai Miyazato Back at Number One After Safeway Classic Win

The ladies of the LPGA tour were back in action this past week, with the Safeway Classic featuring the top names on the women’s side. But in 3010, one name has stood out a little more than the others, and that name is Ai Miyazato. Miyazato picked up her 5th win of the season on Sunday, as she held off Cristie Kerr, and moved into Kerr’s number one spot in the Rolex World Golf Rankings.

Arjun Atwal Wins the Wyndham Championship

It was a tournament filled with low scores, and the final round was no different, as players went low at Sedgefield in hopes of improving their standings in the race for the FedEx Cup. But in the end, it was Arjun Atwal who emerged victorious, as although his final round 67 wasn’t low compared to some of the other scores on the round, he was still able to make big shots down the stretch and become the first Indian-born player to win on the PGA Tour.

Another big week of golf is here, with the Wyndham Championship taking place in Greensboro for the PGA Tour, and the final major of the Champions Tour season, the JELD-WEN Tradition going on in Oregon. While the finish of the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits has gave us plenty to talk about, it’s time to focus on the Wyndham Championship, which gets underway in Greensboro tomorrow. No, this tournament doesn’t boast the outstanding field that we saw last week, but there are plenty of players that are looking to capture wins in hopes of improves their place in the FedEx Cup standings. A Look Back at the 2009 Wyndham Championship

Bunker Rule at Whistling Straits Unlikely to Change for 2015
