Who Will Win the 2010 Ryder Cup?
Golf fans, we are only one day away from the start of the 2010 Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor in Wales, and there’s a lot of hype surrounding the event because of everything that has led up to this point. There’s the Rory McIlroy discussion of Tiger Woods. There’s the belief that the Europeans are the heavy favorites heading into this event, despite two U.S. players in particular being red hot as of late (Matt Kuchar and Jim Furyk). So the real question is, who will win this event? I have no idea, but I’m gonna try to make an [...]
Jim Furyk Wins The Tour Championship, 2010 FedEx Cup
Though the FedEx Cup playoffs have been criticized a whole lot since its’ inception, the final event of the playoffs, The Tour Championship, pretty much always gives us some interesting storylines and finishes. That was the case today, as it came down to one putt for Jim Furyk, and the veteran dropped in the par putt on 18 to hold off Luke Donald, and win the tournament. But that wasn’t all. Furyk’s win also put him at the top of the FedEx Cup standings, and he is your 2010 FedEx Cup winner.
Tour Championship TV Schedule
The final event of the 2010 FedEx Cup playoffs has finally arrived, with The Tour Championship getting underway today at East Lake in Atlanta. There’s no Tiger Woods, but there’s 30 players who are all trying to play their way into picking up the FedEx Cup trophy, though it will certainly be easier for those towards the top of the standings. Matt Kuchar is the leader right now, but that could all change this weekend with some great play by other players in the field.
Predictions: The Tour Championship
Well ladies and gentlemen, the final event of the 2010 FedEx Cup playoffs is upon us, as The Tour Championship is about ready to get underway at East Lake in Atlanta. We’ve had some great tournaments in this year’s race for the FedEx Cup, and this one usually never disappoints, as defending champion Phil Mickelson will be looking to repeat here, and try to be a factor in winning the cup. However, Matt Kuchar and Charley Hoffman are your top two right now, and will certainly be trying to win their first ever FedEx Cup trophy. Let’s get right to [...]
Yani Tseng Wins the P&G Northwest Arkansas Championship
The 2010 season on the LPGA Tour has defined by parody. Week after week, it seems like we’re seeing different players step up and relish in their opportunity to try and be the best in the game. And while there have been several that have done it one or two times, there have been others who have stood out from the crowd. One of those players has been Yani Tseng, who recently picked up her third major championship of her career at the Women’s British Open, added another victory to her win total this year by the winning the P&G [...]
Dustin Johnson Wins the BMW Championship
If you’re a fan of pro golf, then there’s no doubt that there have been a few events in the golfing world that have stood out above the rest this season. But the biggest event of them all was the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits, which saw a rather controversial finish, to say the least. And though this week’s BMW Championship wasn’t a major, it still had to feel pretty good for one player in particular. The man at the center of all the controversy last month, Dustin Johnson, rallied for a big victory at Cog Hill, holding off Paul [...]
BMW Championship TV Schedule
Golf fans, the third event of this year’s FedEx Cup playoffs is getting underway at Cog Hill, as the world’s best players are looking to advance to Atlanta next week for The Tour Championship. But first, there’s the BMW Championship, and this tournament is sure to give us a lot of drama and excitement before heading into the final event of the playoffs next week.
Predictions: BMW Championship
We’re halfway through the 2010 FedEx Cup playoffs, and now it’s time to get ready for the BMW Championship, as there is always a lot on the line for those still in the race for the cup. This is the place where players can build some great momentum before heading into The Tour Championship next weekend in Atlanta. Matt Kuchar and Charley Hoffman have picked up wins already in this year’s playoffs, but can one of them take complete control with a win this week? Let’s get right to predictions!
European Ryder Cup captain Colin Montgomerie made his picks a few weeks ago, and after the selections, many people believed that the Europeans were easily the better squad. Well, at that time, the U.S. didn’t have a full squad to observe, but now they do. U.S. captain Corey Pavin made his captain’s picks today, and overall, they weren’t too surprising.
Charley Hoffman Wins the Deutsche Bank Championship
In the first event of the 2010 FedEx Cup playoffs, we saw a very dramatic finish, with Matt Kuchar knocking off Martin Laird in a playoff to take the FedEx Cup lead. But at the final round of the Deutsche Bank Championship, there wasn’t a whole lot of drama, as it was a one-man show down the stretch. And the star of that show was Charley Hoffman, who shot an amazing round of 62 and left the rest of the field in a trail of dust, picking up his first win of the season.
2010 Deutsche Bank Championship TV Schedule
The Deutsche Bank Championship gets underway tomorrow morning at TPC Boston, and with it being the second event in the race for the FedEx Cup, there’s plenty at stake. While the playoff format is still in need of some tweaking, the playoffs still provide us with a lot of drama and suspense, and I’m sure that’ll be the case again this week. Matt Kuchar took control with his win last week, and another win this week for him would be huge for his chances at the cup.
Predictions: Deutsche Bank Championship
The second event of the 2010 FedEx Cup playoffs gets underway this week, as the Deutsche Bank Championship takes place at TPC Boston. The first tournament of the playoffs didn’t exactly give us a surprise, as one of the most consistent players on tour all year, Matt Kuchar, got the win and is currently in the lead in the standings. But will someone else move ahead of him this week. Let’s make some predictions!
