The legendary quarterback may be adding more to his incredible resume, this time, with a different sport. The retired football player will likely become the latest member of Augusta National Golf Club.

Peyton Manning is one of greatest quarterbacks to ever step onto a football field, winning five MVP awards and two Super Bowls (sadly, one against the Chicago Bears). But, Manning has also been a solid golfer throughout his career and into retirement.

Now, he may need to make room in the trophy room, as Manning will likely become a member of Augusta National Golf Club, according to Golf Digest and WGAC radio’s Austin Rhodes.

As the Golf Digest story mentions, Augusta’s policies are extremely strict (as you can imagine) and nobody will know for sure if the membership is true. But, considering Manning’s love for golf, and his mind-boggling resume as a football player, it would be no shock.

Plus, he is widely known as one of sports’ true good guys. When you mix all of those things into a pot, you may be blessed by the golf gods sometimes. Although our home courses are likely our Augusta Nationals, there is still nothing like experiencing the real place.

We already know, that, the course is like something we envision in our dreams, despite the sometimes dark, and mysterious restrictions. Among other courses, Manning is a member of Castle Pines and Cherry Hills, and to add Augusta to that list would be remarkable, considering he just won the Super Bowl back in February to finish his career.

Manning would join Pittsburgh Steeler great, Lynn Swann and former USC Trojan legend, Pat Haden, as members of the exclusive club. Manning would also be one of the very best members of Augusta, with handicap of 4.4.
