There are no rankings, because all of these products are amazing. The colors, the materials, and the themes. It’s Masters week, and nothing is better for golf and golf apparel. The recurring “scriptings” of players were released, signature products detailing Augusta’s beautiful green grass have been created, and companies such as Nike, Puma, Cobra, and more have done a great deal of planning for this week. So because of this, we decided to create a list of some of our favorite Masters-themed apparel and gear for this year:
Let’s start out with this Cobra Bio Cell driver. This driver, which is new in Cobra’s line of “Cell” drivers, may come in at a steep price, but if you’ve seen in it in person, you know why. The head is a fantastic shape, the sightline looks great, and the feel in hitting a ball is spectacular. This specific Masters color was limited and released earlier in the week, but is still available to get at multiple outlets. So if you need a new driver, and you’re a “Masters” guy, I’m not sure if anyone could recommend a better driver for you.
Nike does this every year, and you always know the products will look sleek and perform better. This year, Nike released 3 shoes in Masters’ white and black colors including the TW 14, the Lunar Clayton, and the Lunar Control. These shoes are being worn by the likes of Rory Mcilroy, Nick Watney, and many more Nike endorsers, so catch a peak this weekend, and head over to Nikestore or your local golf shop to get your pair.
Now this product is a little unique. And by unique, I mean, unless you’re a multi-millionaire, you will not have the money to purchase this watch. Richard Mille, a watch supplier specializing in the highest of ends of watches has sponsored Bubba Watson (the current leader) over the past few years and this watch is a result of that. This is a watch made for Bubba for this years Masters, and it truly is a sight to see.
True Linkswear might not be a brand known by the average golf fan, but this company, headed by PGA Tour player, Ryan Moore, has taken off. The shoes are light, they look good, and really benefit the average “walking” golfer. For this week’s Masters, the company released this pair and it has been a great success and has been taken well by the golf world. The shoes are still available at True Linkswear and other retailers, so if you’re interested, make sure to get your pair!
What’s not to say about these Ecco shoes. Fred Couples — a guy who would be a Masters 1st ballot hall of famer — endorses the company, and they created this Masters edition shoe for him. The shoe was extremely limited and costs upwards of $275, but with the way Freddie has been playing, they might as well charge as much as they want.
This bag is different. This Jones Golf Bag, a bag from a brand that might produce the most premium and cared for bags on the market, looks incredible. The Masters theme with the white, yellow, and green just pops, and there’s not much more I can do to describe it. The bag isn’t too heavy, and it holds really anything, so I can’t wait to take this it out on the course. For more information on the bag and on Jones Golf Bags, head over to jonesgolfbags.com.
Oakley golf’s signing of Bubba a few months ago was “clutch” for the brand. Bubba is unique, has flair, and is currently leading the Masters, so yeah, good pickup for Oakley. With Bubba’s endorsement, he has dawned a few exclusive buttoned-up polos which have really impressed me and others around the golf world. Check out the apparel above, and look towards Oakley.com for more information.
Rickie Fowler is, well, Rickie Fowler. There aren’t many like him, and there aren’t many that dress like him. Pick a color and he’ll wear it. I promise. Be it fluorescent green, pink, blue, orange, purple, red — wait, have I covered the rainbow yet? Rickie wears any color, and Puma supplies him with every color, and the relationship is remarkable. Tomorrow, when Rickie takes the course 2 shots back of the leaders, you’ll see him in his Sunday orange, a color that’s available over at Puma.com.
A sock? That has to be what you said when you saw the picture, right? Well, wrong. Kentwool socks are more comfortable than you could ever imagine a sock to be, and what else could you ask for in socks. Head to Kentwool.com to purchase a pair of the “Bubba Watson” Masters green socks.
Although Rory hasn’t fully lived up to expectations so far, his scripting for this week surely has. The polos, the pants, the shoes, the belt, what else do you need? It’s all a spectacular setup and one that could spark any golfer to pick up the game. All of this apparel is available at Nike.com, so get them before they fly off the racks!
