The 2012 FedEx Cup Champion hasn’t played well since pulling out after the 2013 Pebble Beach National Pro Am due to rib-cage injuries. His 2013 campaign started out great, but he finished in second place at three venues, to two of the world’s top players before getting the win on the Monterrey Peninsula. Dustin Johnson got him at Kapalua, Tiger at Torrey Pines, and Phil in Phoenix.

At 33 years of age, he is in his prime, and needs to make a push soon for that major title. Snedeker has had a top ten in all of the majors except the PGA Championship where his best effort was a T18 in 2007.

Ranked 32nd in the world, and 96th in FedEx Cup standings, Snedeker needs to get that putting stroke working again. He is one of the best putters on the PGA Tour, but a 71.371 scoring average will not win many championships, let alone a major championship.

I know there is a major in Brandt Snedeker somewhere, sometime, I just don’t think he will get it in 2014. Maybe he will come back in 2015 healthy, and ready to contend again.
