Aug 16, 2014; Pittsford, NY, USA; Julieta Granada hits her tee shot on the 4th green during the third round of the Wegman’s

Julieta Granada is playing her 9th year on the Tour.  Ranked 33rd by Rolex and 36th on the Tour’s Official Money List, Granada is ranked 7th on the Tour in putting.  This year she’s averaged 29.06 putts per round (over 54 rounds).

Granada’s entered 15 events this year and missed the cut, significantly, at the ANA Inspiration.  Only one of her 27 career top-10 finishes has come this year and, like Sandra Gal, Granada has one Tour victory.  Hers came in 2006, her rookie year, at the LPGA Playoffs at the ADT.

Will Granada content at Lancaster?  I don’t think so.  She’s had a tendency this year to start low but she’s not been able to sustain her game through the later rounds.  Despite an accurate drive — she’s been hitting over 80% of the fairways off the tee and ranks 5th on the Tour in driving accuracy — she’s very short off the tee and has had trouble getting to the greens in regulation.  She struggles to compete against the longer hitters, and she seems to be plagued by late-round jitters.
