Stacy Lewis is the only player among the top-3 Rolex ranked to make the Tour’s top-10 putting list.  Ranked 3rd in the world by Rolex, 4th on the Tour’s Official Money List, and 4th in putting (averaging 28.83 putts per round this year over 52 rounds), Lewis is clearly a force to reckon with in any given round and at any given tournament.

With 82 career top-10s on her resume, 8 of them this year, Lewis plays a game apart from the ordinary.  Although she remains winless for the 2015 season going into the US Women’s Open, she includes the 2011 Kraft Nabisco Championship and the 2012 RICOH Women’s British Open among her list of 12 career victories and she finished the 2014 Open runner-up to Michelle Wie.

Lewis will be in the mix. But can she win?  Certainly, by the numbers she has the game in her bag.  But she struggles with her mental game, tends to become impatient and discouraged.  For Lewis, much will depend on how well she manages that intangible mental game.  Look for a battle between Stacy Lewis, Morgan Pressel and Hyo Joo Kim.
