5.) Robert Streb
FedEx Cup Points: 1,526
The oddball of the group in the top 10 is Robert Streb, although it’s hard to knock the guy with the way he’s been playing lately. His only win of the season came when they season was still young in last October at The McGladrey Classic.
“I just try to keep getting better, little by little,” Streb said. “I feel like if you keep trying to improve, you’ll reach your goals at some point.”
He hit a rough stretch in the middle of the season with three consecutive missed cut, including one of those coming at the Masters. Streb has seemed to find his stride as of late, placing second at the Greenbrier earlier in the month of July and he even held the lead at The Open Championship, only to finish tied for 18th.
Streb is ranked in 15th for the President’s Cup team and would be a rookie if he would somehow find his way on the team. He’s also never played in the FedEx Cup playoffs, so he hopes he can keep up his consistent play to some how get his hands on the first Cup of his career.
With 24 events played, it’s the most of any player who ranks inside the top 10.
