Melissa Reid, who delivered a powerhouse game at the RICOH Women’s British Open, Suzann Pettersen, Charley Hull and Gwladys Nocera are confirmed for Team Europe’s Solheim Cup roster.

Captain Carin Koch poured praise on Reid following her Turnberry performance as she announced the first four places in Term Europe’s roster:

"“I’m very impressed by Melissa’s performance. She knew what she had to do and she went out and did it. It’s a lot of pressure, knowing that you have to perform and it’s one of the toughest things in golf. It’s great to have four strong and experienced players that have already qualified so I’m really, really excited to see the team shaping up.”"

Things look good for Anna Nordqvist, Azahara Munoz and Sandra Gal, all in the Portland Classic field, but there still work for them to do before they secure their slots.

Carlota Ciganda and Caroline Masson are both in Team Europe’s points bubble and the only way onto the 2015 Team Europe roster for Caroline Hedwall, who delivered such a stunningly perfect performance at Colorado Golf Club that she easily claimed all-around MVP status, will be a captain’s pick.  All three — Ciganda, Masson and Hedwall — will tee it up this week in Portland.

So, like the Americans, the Europeans have six players inside their team’s points bubble.  I’m look for some hard play from all of them this week.
