The 97th PGA Championship rolls through Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wisconsin this week. Considered to be one of Pete Dye’s greatest works, Whistling Straits looks as if someone took the course straight from Scotland and placed in along a two-mile stretch next to Lake Michigan.
It has plenty of the features you would find in a links-style course with undulated greens and hundreds of bunkers scattered throughout the course, just waiting for their next victim.
Among the incredible features of Whistling Straits lies four par threes that make up 763 yards of the 7,790 yard golf course. Two of the par threes run north along the banks of Lake Michigan while the other two run south. Let’s take a look at what the golfers will be getting themselves into when they reach these holes.
