2015 Solheim Cup Team USA
Alison Lee is a rookie in every sense of the word and she started her year with the Solheim Cup in her sights. She made it! The plucky rookie who wept when she earned her Tour card at Q-School last winter because turning pro meant she would be leaving her UCLA Bruins teammates has played her heart out through 19 Tour starts.
She’s recorded five top-10 finishes and in the process played her way up the Rolex Rankings to 29th. And the season’s not even close to being finished!
Lee’s 2014 Curtis Cup 3-1-1 record is a heartening preview of what she may be able to bring to Team USA when they tee it up in St. Leon-Rot next month.
Lee has a solid game from tee to green and I’ve been watching her battle with extraordinary determination to get into contention and stay there week after week. She doesn’t give up. She’s going to bring that determination to Team USA .
