2015 Solheim Cup Team USA
Lexi Thompson, at 20 the youngest member of Team USA, is currently ranked 8th by Rolex. Thompson, who’s playing her third year on the Tour, wasted no time in claiming her space on golf’s big stage. With five Tour victories, including the 2014 Kraft Nabisco Championship, and 23 additional top-10 finishes, Thompson’s consistently in the mix in stroke play competition.
One of the longest drivers on the Tour, Thompson averages 267 yards off the tee but she has a relatively weak short game and ranks 102nd on the Tour in putting, although I saw her putting with great confidence last week in Vancouver. I hope that carries over. Thompson went 1-2-0 in her 2013 rookie Solheim Cup where she came through in her singles match but consistently struggled with her flat stick.
