2015 Solheim Cup Team USA

Ranked 33rd by Rolex, Angela Stanford is playing her 15th year on the Tour.  This will be Stanford’s 6th Solheim Cup appearance, making her the second most experienced member of Team USA, behind Cristie Kerr.

Stanford has 82 top-10 career finishes that include five Tour victories, although none of them have been major championships. In addition to her match play experience Stanford will bring a steady, consistent game to Team USA.  She’s accurate off the tee, is a solid ball striker and a better-than-average putter.

Perhaps her most valuable attribute is her strong sense of team play.  Stanford will be able to mobilize Team USA and lead them in sustaining a positive attitude in a venue that will be highly partisan for Team Europe.
