Playing her 8th year on the Ladies European Tour, Melissa Reid is recovering a game that was for a time eclipsed by personal tragedy. The five-time LET champion added to her resume an impressive wire-to-wire victory at the Turkish Airlines Ladies Open that secured her spot on the 2015 Team Europe roster.
This will be Reid’s second Solheim Cup appearance but she also brings Junior Solheim Cup (2005) and Curtis Cup (2006) match play experience to the European team.
Reid’s relatively long and very solid off the tee. Look for her to get in the short grass and stay there, unlike teammate Charley Hull, who can wander off on some amazing golf adventures between tee and green. If Reid can dominate the putting surface at St. Leon-Rot the way she did at Carya Golf Club, she’s going to be hard to beat.
