We have had plenty of shootouts of late on the PGA Tour and I would expect that to continue this week at the Deutsche Bank Championship. TPC Boston is a course you can go low at. Two of the last three winners have won shooting 20-under par or better.

Having said that, there really isn’t a certain style that plays well here. If you look at the winners of the last five years you have: Chris Kirk, Henrik Stenson, Rory McIlroy, and Charley Hoffman.

Typically, the cream rises to the top, but there is more than one way to skin a cat. Or, in this case, more than one way to get around TPC Boston.

You can hit the fairways and greens consistently, you can overpower the course, or you can just putt the ball extremely well. There are a lot of options here at TPC Boston.

From a fantasy perspective, that does make it slightly tricky to handicap since you have to factor in both the accurate golfers who aren’t long and the long hitters who aren’t accurate.

However, as we talked about the best golfers usually play well here and this is a scorer’s course. I would look for golfers that are aggressive and make a ton of birdies and eagles.

Bogey avoidance isn’t as important because there aren’t a ton of bogey holes, this isn’t a difficult course. And, of course, looking at Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green and Strokes Gained: Putting is always helpful. I realize these are just broad statistics, but that’s just the way TPC Boston plays.

We have that basic outline to go on, so with that, let’s go over the Deutsche Bank Championship DraftKings Fantasy Picks.
