$7,400 to $7,000
Jimmy Walker ($7,400) hasn’t been in contention in over three months and he has recorded just one top 20 in his last 11 starts. Yet, he somehow is still 4th in the FedEx Cup Standings. The PGA Tour might want to think about tweaking the point system.
Walker has been a mess and as we seem to say every week his game on paper is great, but it hasn’t translated to success in reality.
Harris English ($7,200) has just been really solid for awhile now. His finishes haven’t been spectacular, but he is making cuts and just posting solid finishes.
He finished T-30 at The Barclays, T-31 at the Wyndham, T-48 at the PGA Championship, T-46 at the Quicken Loans, T-25 at the Travelers. If you want a safe cheap pick, I would look to English.

One of the golfers that stood out to me down in this range was J.B. Holmes ($7,100). Holmes hasn’t done much of late, but he hasn’t been all that bad considering he has been playing on a lot of courses that aren’t exactly tailored to his game.
Holmes was on the verge of having a really strong finish at the PGA Championship, but a final round 74 took the wind out of his sails. Yet, he still finished 24th, not exactly horrible.
Holmes will have plenty of room to roam at the TPC Boston and as we have talked about, this is a course where you can score. Holmes ranks 14th in birdie average and 4th in eagles per hole.
John Senden ($7,000) may not be a sexy name, but he has been very productive at TPC Boston. In fact, you can argue that he is actually the horse for the course this week.
Senden has finished inside the top 21 the last four times he has played here, inside the top 12 in three of the four starts, and inside the top eight in two of four starts. Including, a top five finish last year.
Kevin Na ($7,100), Sangmoon Bae ($7,000), and former Deutsche Bank Champion Charley Hoffman ($7,100) are all available as well.
