Phil Mickelson has struggled all season, and that continued last weekend at the Barclays.
Lefty finished T-50 with a final score of +1. Mickelson started day one in contention, shooting an impressive 68, but he was unable to carry that momentum. He finished day four with his worst round of the tournament, finishing with 73 strokes.
In 17 events this season, Mickelson only has three top-10 finishes, which is the same amount of times he’s been cut. He also hasn’t won a PGA event since 2013. If Mickelson doesn’t pull out a victory soon, this will be the first time in his career since 1992 that he finished two season in a row without a win. Hopefully Mickelson can find his groove and salvage the last few months of the season. With the Deutsche Bank and BMW tournament coming up, Mickelson will have plenty of opportunities to turn things around.
