The Jordan Spieth Green Jacket tour continued on Saturday at the University of Texas. The Longhorns had their home opener against Rice University and of course the 2015 Masters champion was in attendance.

It’s surprising the 22 year old was allowed back after his criticism of the Longhorns play in the season opener. After missing consecutive cuts for the first time in his career, Jordan took to Twitter to express his frustration for Texas’ struggles against Notre Dame last weekend.

Regardless, it seems like he was still welcome back with open arms on Saturday. Spieth, a known fanatic of his Alma mater, had a busy day of festivities leading up to kick off. He started things off by joining the Longhorns Network GameDay crew before the game.

During halftime of the game, the Longhorns paid tribute to the Texas golf team who won this Big 12 this past season and Jordan, who brought the green jacket along with him.

His Alma mater didn’t stop there. The Longhorns band went on to spell out “S-P-I-E-T-H” on the field.

This isn’t the first time Spieth has brought his Green Jacket with him to sporting events. He attended a Dallas Mavericks playoff game earlier this year and wore the jacket on the floor during a timeout. The Dallas native waved a customized Mavs jersey given to him by Mark Cuban, as the thousands of fans went bonkers for their hometown hero.

Later on Saturday, he was spotted by fellow Texas alum and Masters winner Ben Crenshaw.

Wouldn’t it be nice to enjoy a college football game in a box with these two legends?

Spieth’s big day comes on the heels of a listing posted on eBay earlier this week of a 2011 Jesuit College Prep School in Dallas yearbook. It was Spieth’s graduating year and is currently going for $299.95. In it, Spieth wrote a heartfelt note to his family. Have a look:

"“Mom, thanks for everything you have done for me at Jesuit, especially telling me every night to go back and do my homework. I always told you I hated when you did that but the truth is I needed it. Dad, thank you for all your support and guidance with not only my golf, but also handling pretty much every situation I have ever been presented with. I know we had ups and downs, but I am blessed to have y’all as my parents and I love you so much. Steven, keep doing what you are doing. I love you, bro. Ellie, I know every day presents its fair share of struggles, but the fight that you show everyday inspires everyone who knows you. Spending each Wednesday with you this year has been a blessing and I love you. The Jesuit golf team and Coach Marino, I’ll never forget the practices, putt putt games, and trips (esp. California) that have created friendships for life. Blaine, you’ve been a great friend since we met in biology freshman year, and I’m looking forward to Austin. To Jesuit, it has been the best 4 years of my life and there is no other place I would have rather spent it.”"

The winner of this year’s first two majors is gearing up for the final two events of the FedEx Cup Playoffs. The TOUR heads to Conway Farms outside of Chicago this week for the BMW Championship. After missing cuts in his previous two events, Spieth will be looking to have a bounce back week in the third leg of the playoffs.
