We just got done discussing Don Cheadle’s playing partner, Anthony Anderson, but Cheadle’s handicap is just a tad better than his partner.
Cheadle says his relationship with golf is a love-hate affair and even told GOLF.com, “Other than having kids, golf is the hardest thing you’ll ever love.”
Best known his roles in Hotel Rwanda, Ocean’s Eleven, and Crash, Cheadle is a Goodwill Ambassador to the United Nations Environmental Program. He uses his care for the environment to promote a company called Dixon Golf, which specializes in making golf balls and products friendly to the environment.
The actor’s favorite course is Pebble Beach and told GOLF.com that his go to club is his 7-iron:
"I hit can it 180 yards when I really get it. I just love that clean connection you can make with an iron. You know what the golf swing is? It’s the truth. When you swing a club, and you connect with the ball—whether you hit it good or bad—the truth happens. What was supposed to happen, happens."
