11. Kevin Dillon
7.3-Handicap
We’ve talked about the producer of Entourage and his golf game, but what about the actors. Kevin Dillon who plays Johnny Drama on the show, has just a tad better handicap than his boss Mark Wahlberg. Drama says that he is the best golfer of the Entourage cast, but of course gives Wahlberg his props.
Getting into the game when he was about 27 years old, Dillon didn’t start getting addicted to the game until he was about 35 because he originally thought it was boring. Now the game is just as important to him as his HBO hit series.
Dillon is a member at Winged Foot and so is his father, Paul Dillon, who happens to be the men’s golf coach at Fordham University. Everyone in his family, besides actor Matt Dillon, are passionate about the game and compete whenever they get a chance on the holidays.
As for his favorite golfer? The Entourage actor is a big Phil Mickelson and still has nightmares about Lefty’s meltdown on the 72nd hole of the U.S. Open at Winged Foot. Dillon told BadGolfer.com what Mickelson should have done when asked about the situation.
"You’re killing me … No, he should have kept the big stick in the bag. I love you though, Phil. It wasn’t like he was playing on Christmas with me and my brothers, though. That’s the U.S. Open. Play it safe to win."
Dillon has become a spokesperson for Full Swing, a computer golf simulator that allows you to hit ball into a large screen and play on some of the best course across the world. Full Swing is frequently used by the characters in the Entourage series.
